Costs and Services

Status-quo-evaluation: ¤ 130.-

The fee covers costs for

  • personal log-in area and access to online portfolio
  • review, assessment and acknowledgement of submitted proofs by the Accreditation Board

wba-certificate "Certified Adult Educator": ¤ 650.-

The fee covers costs for

  • guidance through the certification process by a personal wba-advisor
  • participation in the three-day Certification Workshop (excl. costs for travel and stay)
  • review, assessment and acknowledgement of further proofs
  • issuance of the wba-certificate
  • wba quality-logo "Certified Adult Educator"
  • access to the wba-graduate database

wba-diploma "Graduate Adult Educator": ¤ 320.-

The fee covers costs for

guidance through the graduation process by a personal wba-advisor

  • review, assessment and acknowledgement of further proofs
  • assessment of two book reviews by external experts
  • participation in the final oral exam (Kolloquium)
  • issuance of the wba-diploma
  • wba quality-logo "Graduate Adult Educator"
  • access to the wba-graduate database

If desired, further wba-qualifications can be acquired. The costs for the 2nd wba-degree amount to ¤ 220.- and, for a 3rd wba diploma, to ¤ 120.-.

Additional costs:

The compulsory written thesis for the wba diploma is subject to the payment of a fee of ¤ 250.-. If a suitable thesis was written within the context of another training course, it can be submitted to wba and acknowledged after an examination free of charge.

If the final oral exam is not passed, it can be retaken, subject to the payment of a fee.

A wba-certificate or wba-diploma in English (instead of German) is issued upon request and at an extra charge of ¤ 30,- per certificate/diploma.

Die wba ist der Kern des Kooperativen Systems der österreichischen Erwachsenenbildung und ein Novum in der österreichischen Bildungslandschaft. Erstmals und freiwillig wurden von den Branchenvertreter/innen selbst Kompetenzstandards für die Beschäftigten eines ganzen Sektors – der Erwachsenenbildung – entwickelt und definiert.
